SWING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS: Have you registered yet for the 3rd Annual Swing for Scholarships Golf Outing at Hawk Country Club in St. Charles. The golf outing will be on September 23, 2019 to help us raise scholarship funds for students to attend our school. If you have a business or are able to make a donation towards our outing it would be appreciated. Our food pantry is running low on the following items: Cream soup, tomato soup, variety soup, toiletries, laundry soap, canned fruit, spaghetti sauce, spaghetti noodles, rice, jello/pudding, jelly, boxed pasta dinners, snacks, cereal, crackers, and variety canned veggies. If you are able, we appreciate the donations!

HELP WANTED: St. Peter Schaumburg is hiring for the 2019/2020 School Year. Our Kid Care Program is looking to hire mature individuals who love working with children to work in our after school care program. Afternoon hours, assist children with crafts, snack, and other games and activities. Please contact Marnie Pontrelli at [email protected].

Join us for a community engagement event on Friday August 16. Celebrate Indian Culture with a live dancing, music, food and other activities in the fellowship hall. Anyone and everyone are welcomed and encouraged to come to experience this special event! We will be having Indian cuisine (included in the ticket price) and beer and wine will be available for purchase. Purchase tickets in advance so that we can plan how many people will be coming however tickets will be available at the door (Limited seating is available at this event so at the door it will be first come first serve). HEALTH SCREENINGS AT ST. PETER: Life Line Screening, a leading provider of community-based preventive health screenings, is pleased to offer a preventive health event at St. Peter Lutheran Church on 8/3/2019. Five screenings will be offered that scan for potential health problems related to: blocked arteries which is a leading cause of stroke; abdominal aortic aneurysms which can lead to a ruptured aorta; hardening of the arteries in the legs which is a strong predictor of heart disease; atrial fibrillation or irregular heart beat which is closely tied to stroke risk; and a bone density screening, for men and women, used to assess the risk of osteoporosis. Family Ties - July 25, 2019

POLAND 2019: Volunteers will be traveling in the next few weeks to Poland. On Sunday August 4th, we will bless the group at the 11am service. Join us in prayer as they make this journey reaching out to the Polish Community through VBS and English Conversation Classes. The group would appreciate donations to offset some of the expenses: Lunch for Children, VBS Supplies, and Bibles. Donations FOR POLAND can be put in the offering plate or dropped off in the church office - labeled for Poland.
